It's All Good

Okay.  This is a "What I re-learned this week" Post.  Here's some of the list:

I have good friends.  That love me.  (And actually think I'm a ray of sunshine!  YAY! and also, Thank God.  It is always good to know you have good friends.)
Life is tons better when you are healthy.  As in physically fit, strong and you can depend on your body.  (I dare say my anxiety level would have been just a tad less if I hadn't been as worried about my ability to fight my way off a sinking boat, in the darkest darkness, trying to see over my life vest.)
I also re-learned that I can take a deep breath and enjoy life more without the world coming to an end.  (As in - a vacation now and then will not spell the end of your business. Just lock the damn door and go!)
Health, strength, mobility and stamina, those need to be taken care of - I'm at a last chance age of the struggle and need to just get it done.  I gave up cigarettes years and years ago, no problem.  Now I've given up all alcohol and most food, in the name of health and weight loss.  The alcohol, no problem, but the food is hard y'all.  I'm not talking about making low calorie tacos or whatever.  I'm talking about the luxury of eating like everyone else around you.  And no, I'm not talking about being embarrassed or ashamed of being on a diet.  I'm talking about just one more thing that makes you the odd one out.
You are already the odd one out by the way you look, the way you dress, where you can shop for clothes, all the way down to how you are perceived by others.  What you can do, what you can't do and that, of course, includes the "it takes forever to get over the pain of it" on both can and can't do.
From happy shopping with the girls, to hiking the sights of Ancient Scotland, health, strength and stamina are key factors, otherwise you don't go, you don't do, and pretty soon you are a physical (and mental) puddle. What keeps me going at this point is the promise to myself of getting through this - all the way to the end - and having the luxury of good health, and not being odd one out, on everything except the weird way I dress! lol  The gym helps, the diet helps, and attitude too.
Keep true to yourself - get healthy and life will get better. That's what I  re-learned this week.  Oh and also, every diet works, how well it works depends on the dieter! PL&F y'all.
